New York Part II: Tis the Season

I offer you the The Rhinelander Mansion on Madison Avenue December 6, 2008:

Currently the Rhinelander Masnsion houses the Manhattan Ralph Lauren flagship store

After Forever Young I slept a few hours and then spent an equal few hours eating brunch at Maggie Brown’s in Clinton Hill with my Hot Hosts.  Afterwards I took a rewarding, but long, subway ride from the Clinton G to Hoyt-Schemerhorn to pick up the A, to Broadway/Nassau, to transfer to a Bronx-bound 4/5 Express train.  I got off at 59th and Lex, but realized too late that I had meant to start my UES tour at Zitomer’s.  So I cabbed it to 78th and Madison, so I could leisurely walk down Madison, taking in the winter decorations, the cold air, and the bright lights.  I was amazed at the sight of the the Rhinelander Mansion with all the lights, and wreaths in every window.  The sun was going down and the cabs were zooming past.  It was a brilliant scene.
